I have never planted anything in my life before I started working with Tari, but with her thoughtful and expert advice, I have managed to do so much to my garden . . .

An absolutely fantastic process that has bought a lot of joy to my home and life.

FEATURED PROJECTS

Modern Pollinator Front Yard  - Beaumont/Wilshire

Tally_yard_6-20-5.jpg

Tally's low maintenance and drought tolerant garden was designed to match her lifestyle of travel adventure, while also offering year round colorful flowers for pollinators. Blue-green foliage, cast slabs, and steel edging bring a modern aesthetic that compliments the Mid-Century Modern styling of her home.

Full Yard Transformation - King

What was once patchy and weedy lawn is now paths flowing from the Xeric gravel garden in the front to a shady patio hugged by a dry creek bed in the back, surrounded by mostly evergreen and native shrubs for year-round interest and wildlife support.

Urban Meadow + Orchard - Buckman

Permaculture and pollinator focused plants brought new life to this almost entirely rock yard. A winding pathway from the deck to a fire-pit area adds contour to a long and skinny plot.

Whimsical Woodland Garden - Irvington

ken_after.HEIC

This design embraced the client's love of Sci-fi /Fantasy with whimsical woodland plants that could handle the deep shade of this Irvington tree-lined home. Berms and a rain garden added dimension to a once flat, patchy grass lawn.

Lush Sun-lovers Slope - Irvington

IMG_9680.JPG

Boulder stepping stones, rock rain gardens, and colorful, sun-loving plants bring life and dimension to this sunny sloped side yard to be enjoyed by passerby's in a busy walking/biking neighborhood.

Low maintenance, curbside appeal - Woodstock

Pete worked side by side with me to transform his once unremarkable grass lawn into a space for walking, sitting, and inviting both neighbors and wildlife to feel at home.

Mediterranean Naturescape - Lake Oswego

IMG_3826.HEIC

Justine's Italian heritage, desire for a modern facelift on an outdated suburban yard, and Backyard Habitat Certification drove the design for this large Lake Oswego front yard.

Shade Natives for Big Impact - Buckman

IMG_0384.HEIC

A shady slope can be a tricky location, but our native woodland plants in the PNW are so adaptable to shady situations. Within months of planting, this micro front yard became a lush slope of green.

Sanctuary in the City - Sunnyside

IMG_0499.JPG

Craving a feeling of enclosure in a busy neighborhood, Nishant's new garden will provide privacy and a sense of sanctuary with PNW woodland and Japanese plantings.

Trout Lake Hall - Trout Lake, WA

Fresh garden beds with deer-proof plants and cedar wood chip pathways under picnic tables replace outdated topiaries and patchy grass for an outdoor beer garden at this 120 year old building serving as a honkey-tonk music venue and restaurant/bar

Low Maintenance Xeriscape - North Tabor

IMG_1303.HEIC

A low maintenance design for plants that can handle heat was needed for a hands-off rental property. A massive slope of ivy was replaced with xeriscaped retaining walls that give a wild effect with texture and color throughout the year. This yard receives zero supplemental water and the plants thrive.

Aging in Place with Elegance - Irvington

Planning a garden in the later years of life merits different questions and goals. In this garden, we focused low-maintenance shrubs and perennials around a three-tiered round paver patio for easy accessibility and care. There's still lots of room to play with growing cut flowers for Liz's Ikebana class.

Backyard Habitat Front Slope - Boise

A slope once hidden by a wall of juniper hedge gets a new lease on life with native plants for habitat support in this Backyard Habitat Certified front yard.

Suburban Oasis Backyard - Camas, WA

TenKley_summer23-4.jpg

A transformed space for play and retreat for a young family in a quiet suburban neighborhood, with lots of sensory plants, privacy hedges, and reduced lawn size for easier maintenance.
